The wikipad looks lovely,

it has 16 gigs of on board storage with a micro sd card slot, hdmi slot, and ATTACHABLE PHYSICAL CONTROLS, no resting on a table with a moga controller all the time

But this one part worries me, Im ok with tegra 3, but, it has 1 gig of ram while the nexus 7 2 will have 2 gigs.

I am wondering if having only 1 gig of ram will make it obsolete in one or 2 years

Would it be right to sacrifice memory freedom and attachable gaming buttons for an extra gig of ram?

Please help

I would have got the next gen Nexus 7.It will not only have more RAM but also a faster processor(probably a Snapdragon one) and a much better screen with full HD resolution.Inspite of these new features the price of the next Nexus 7 will remain the same.It will also run the latest version of Android and you will be surely get the next updates. So,yes,it would be right to sacrifice memory freedom and attachable gaming controls..

the next gen nexus 7 has not been announced so theoretically (but highly unlikely) there may be no new nexus 7

Now if I had to decide it would matter do you want a good gaming tablet, or a ok gaming tablet....but it will receive new android versions as soon as they are released?

No. Ram is not upgradable and is the single best thing you can do to speed up your processor. Regardless of what type of processor it is, it will work better with more ram. NEXUS
