Jailbreak = Mass battery drainage + lag? Avoidable?

Question

Since I jailbroke my iPod Touch 3G 8GB, I've been experiencing mad lag and mass battery drainage. Does anyone know of any way these are avoidable? Apparently, OpenSSH causes the battery drainage. Cydia says it's not, only does when I use it. Even when I'm not on wifi, my battery still gets drained, though. Any solutions to either?

I also have a jailbroken 3G 8Gig Ipod Touch but it doesn't really drain the battery (?) Your problem might be that your brightness is waay too high --> the brightness is the number one electricity nommer (nom nom nom :P). If it isn't, maybe there's a defect in the battery and you should/could, if you still have warranty or insurance on it, send it to apple for a checkup. But if you do so, make sure you un-jailbreak it or else you get caught :P. If you wanna un-jailbreak it just go to www.jailbreakme.com to un-jailbreak it. It'll probably say something like: 'Oops the jailbreak failed' when it's perfectly jailbroken. Then just slide the thingy again to un-jailbreak it. Hope thios helps! :D
