If it keeps freezing try to wipe it, reinstall the software and reload the songs to see if it still happens.

If, after that you still have a problem and it is under apple care protection or the first 90 days after purchase take it to the apple store. They will take care of you.

the music industry has paid the makers of i pod to make the product not so durable. The reason is they are looking for a format that best meets the needs of the major labels. When they find this format they can just wait for the ipod you have to break so you buy the new player. The new player may very well be a cell phone type thing. but anyway it will be a monthly fee thing that will erase all your music if you don't pay. Most likely they are waiting for a new OS to come out from microsoft that can keep track of the music and delete it if you don't pay.

...short answer.. ipod's are a p.o.s. toss it! get a real mp3 player like the zen micro or rio..

but in case you didn't know, if you hold down the menu and the action button for about 10 seconds it will reset the ipod. additionally make sure it has the latest firmware (ipod updater)

Too much cool music, not enough hot stuff.
