yes a blackberry is a phone it will do everything a cell phone can do. it is also a small computer so it can do a lot more than a cellphone try checking out blackberry's on the Internet

Blackberry has all the features a normal mobile phone ahs plus there are a host of other fetures such as net browsing, sending and recieving e-mails. All these features depend on your service provider whether they provide such services on their network.
