When I load the videos onto my kindle fire I am sure to have it in the mp4 format. One of the videos will play normally while the others will just show the opening screen and skips at 7 or 14 seconds at a time.
The videos are at the same rates and all work on my laptop but not on the kindle.

Any ideas on how to resolve this would be much appreciated

Kindle Fire supports mp4 files, but not all, if you can not import the mp4 files to kindle fire, you will need to convert your mp4 files to STD mp4 FILES, THEN import to kindle fire for playing easily,,,I just use this one:

Try converting into PSP mp4 format, no expert but could work.
