Ok. I have the new Palm Pro running the windows mobile 6.1. I have tried to download I don't know how many apps to my phone and every time I try to run it it gives me the same stupid message.

Message: There is no application associated with"THE PROGRAMS NAME" Run the application first then open this file from within the application.

There is no other app to run, and all i'm trying to do is run the program and that message is what I get. Even on programs I know will work like Opera Mini. If anyone know the deal please shoot me some advice. Thanks.

I am assuming you are installing Java apps ( jar files ) , you will need to install a Java Midlet manager ( http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/12/22/esmertec-jbed-2008091251-java-midlet-manager.html ) to run those apps.

But If you are installing the native Apps for Windows Mobile you dont need the Java Midlet Manager, these usually come in the form of .CAB file name

For free native Windows Mobile apps : http://www.1800pocketpc.com/category/Software

Guide to install CAb file ( http://www.pocketpccentral.net/help/tutorials/install_cab_file.htm ) the guide is a bit old n rusty but should help you get started

Try opera in cab form ( http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/ ) way better than the java version

You'll have to download AND INSTALL the application in question. Just as you would need to install an application program on your computer, you'll have to do the same thing with a Windows Mobile device. I run into a lot of people who don't know the difference between downloading a file, and installing the file so that the application works on their device, both on WM phones and on computers.

You'll be able to deal with this phone a lot better if you simply think of it as a very small Windows-based computer that happens to make phone calls, because that's exactly what it is.

OK, here is the problem, the GHz are not a good measure of the computer's power (see the powerpc chips kicking the butt of x86 a few years ago, with 800MHz) The celeron is a low end type of processor, it works and gets the job done, but if you put it on something really complex (like playing a new video game) it will probably have problems. The Penitum D was some of the last pentium type of processors, it is almost 2 pentium 4 hold together by duct-tape. It is fast and it will work better than the Celeron. You will have problems running Vista with all blls and whistles, but with Aero turned off they should work pretty well, specially the one with the pentium D.
