I have a Z10 and have converted many people from android and iOS platforms and have been hearing how people did not know about the new BlackBerry. I mean really people??? Get rid of your Curves and do your research. These devices are nothing like the older models and has a QNX based OS that enables the use of Flash and HTML5 capabilities also known to be embedded in systems around us such as social networks, cars, hospitals and space shuttles to name a few( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGW76JB90Ro). What is it that BlackBerry has to do to get its products out and known??? Oh and please don't tell me that GS4 is so much better cuz its really not. I've heard about the many software issues it has and I can tell you BlackBerry Z10 has way less issues.

BlackBerry's problem remains, not as much apps. Last check was 120,000 & that's including Android ports. iOS has close to 480,000, Android a little less than that. Windows Phone (who recently passed BB for 3rd place mind you) has a little more at 150,000.

The Z10 came out after delays & 2 years & it is not as powerful to compete with the other high end smartphones like the iPhone 5, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S 4. So there's another problem.

It could have whatever base for an OS, but without the app & hardware support, no one would really care.

I personally think its a decent phone. However, at a similarly high price as the more "popular" phones, it is trying to compete with the fashionable devices that people have been convinced are better than it.

I also think the advertising has been poor. Most people have not heard of the BB10 devices. If I was not such a workaholic and did not use my phone for typing (or work in the industry) I would probably never have heard of the new blackberries. BB to people who use phones for mostly entertainment, pic sharing and app downloads basically means the old blackberries: java-based, slow, boring work horses. Since I only use my phone for email, messaging, texting and social media (and I am happy with about 12 downloaded apps vs the scores of apps most iOS users have) I still use one of the old devices: a BB Torch.

Oh and btw, QNX is not the "base" of the software. It just uses QNX kernel technology, but that is not the language in which it is written. BB10 is written in C++.

Blackberrys are spectacular for BBM, texting and phoning yet I hate the facebook app on my blackberry and my acquaintances all agree that its poor. The messaging on that's undesirable and the information feed its lots greater advantageous the two. you may positioned up stuff and positioned up photos and each thing and you will chat to human beings its merely no longer as sturdy and straightforward as you're able to like it to be. Mine additionally lags lots.
