So I bought the Blackberry Pearl earlier this afternoon (Sprint) and got the whole Blackberry plan with internet and everything... I've looked everywhere as to a solution to this and they all say the same thing and it still hasn't worked... Basically the issue is, my browser button doesn't really show in the main menu (I have to hit Switch Application) and Im not sure if that's normal.

Also, I don't know how to use the GPS or get On Demand or anything. Whenever I try to use the browser it tells me "your device does not currently have any browser configuration service book entries please contact your service provider" and I really dont want to have to call them for them to tell me "oh sorry we can't do anything." I went to Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table and I hit 'Register Now' and the message was sent and I got like 6 messages (Ove done it that many times) and it still hasn't changed anything.

What the heck do I do? and Sprint Ringtones aren't compatible with the BB?

To have the browser icon always display this is what you gotta do:

Press the berry button to access your main menu

You should see all your icons now, right?

Press the berry button again, and select "Show All"

You should now see all your icons, plus some extra kind-of greyed out icons. Those are the icons that were hiding.

Your browser icon should be there. Go to it.

Press the berry button once you have hilited the browser icon.

Select "show" (or something? cant remember now)

From now on, your browser button will automatically be displayed when you enter your main menu.

If I have inaccurately diagnosed the problem, let me know.

When you first got it did you the set up wizard?

You can send service books via your provider...

sign onto your sprint account and send the service books.

wait nevermind go to SETUP WIZARD.

AND perform it if you havent...

If you perform it and then o a battery pull

the Blackberry messgener an Im an the browser icon usually appear.\

Edit:

Also if you do Have a blackberry internet plan instead of buying the ringtones from sprint, you can get them free from

either myxertones.com ventones.com or even funformobile.com

completely free as long as you have internet.
