I tried putting a video into the video folder, put it in and when i check my psp 2000 it doesn't show up in video or anywhere else on the thing. I made an mp_root file and put a folder in that and then put the video in that one but again no luck. how can i put my videos on so i can view my movies? please and thanks.

make sure that this video is converted to be used on a PSP and not some other device. there are MANY many different formats that all appear as .mp4

if that's not the problem, then inside of the MP_ROOT folder, make another folder called 101ANV01 and put the video in there. put the .THM file that came with the video (after being converted to be used on a PSP) in another folder called 100MNV01.

both of the folders should be inside MP_ROOT

Yes, your videos are already mp4, but you should know, PSP just supports some special mp4, not all, because mp4 is a media container, it can be encoded many different codecs. As I know, PSP supports mp4(avc video codec, aac audio codec) video format well. So I think, you just need a right converter to convert your mp4 videos to PSP mp4 videos. I am using RZ Video Converter which can convert any videos or audios between different formats with good quality, such as convert your mp4 videos to PSP mp4 videos, then you can put the converted mp4 to PSP, and play well it. Yahoo or google search and download rz video converter. Hope it can help you.

At last, you should note: on some psp, you should rename the converted avc mp4 file name to MAQxxxxx.mp4(xxxxx are any five number, such as 12345, etc.), then place the MAQxxxxx.mp4 to your PSP folder(MP_ROOT/100ANV01/MAQxxxxx.mp4).

you're putting the record in the staggering itemizing, yet what you're getting incorrect is the naming convention. PSP video records could have a undeniable naming convention (with corresponding thumbnail) to artwork on a PSP. PSP video clips many times beging with something like "M4V000..." with the final numbers being the unique record call. additionally, make helpful your video record has a .mp4 extension.
