Ok, when i first got the phone back at Christmas time, everything was fine. Had no problems at all. But now there are so many things that go wrong, and i need to know if i need to get another phone or what i should do. I'll list the problems like bullets.

- Battery Indicator Is Incorrect
*the little battery up in the top left corner isn't right. the last few days, my phone has said that it had about 1/3 of the battery power left (indicator hadn't even turned red yet) and then my phone just says "Low Battery, Handset Shutting Down" and it won't turn back on because it's truly dead. And then AFTER i get it plugged in and turned back on, it shows the indicator fully drained!

- Dropdown Notification Menu Is Wrong
*Ok, so when you get a text or tweet or facebook notification or anything, it shows up in the Notification Bar up at the top of the home screen. When you click the bar, you get a dropdown menu you that shows you all the upcoming events and whatever notification shows on the bar, for instance a text message and it tells from whom it came. But, for the last few months, every single day, the bar will show no notifications but when i drop down the menu, it will say i have a text message from someone. And when i click on the message, which would normally remove it from the dropdown menu, it takes me to a blank text message screen and the notification remains on the menu. The ONLY way i've found to remove these from the dropdown menu is to hard rest my phone by taking out the battery.

- Opposite of Above Problem
*the opposite thing will happen in which there will be a notification on the bar on the home screen, but when i touch it to bring down the menu the actual notification won't be there. For instance i'll have a facebook icon on the bar, but when i bring down the menu there is no facebook notification at all. And like the one above, the only way to remove the notification from the bar is by hard resetting it.

- Not Getting Notifications
*A lot lately, tweets and facebook messages which would normally show on my phone haven't. I don't know if that's a problem with the apps themselves, but i'm not getting the text messages from those services either. I'll log onto facebook on my computer and it'll show inbox messages and comments and stuff and on my phone i have NO notification of those things at all.

- Other Smaller Problem: Phone gets slow and choppy repeatedly

I don't know why i've had so much trouble with it lately, but i need to know what to do. Should i get a whole 'nother phone? Or could i transfer my battery's data to another and change battery's? If everything is saved to the memory chip i could just get a new battery, but i need to know what to do soon. I should still be under warranty since it hasn't been a year and it has never gotten wet. Please tell me how to fix these problems, or if there is no way i can fix them. Thanks.

you have a hardware or software issue. you need to download desktop manager from blackberry.com and run app loader. as a blackberry user this should already be known. once its downloaded plug in your phone, go to device, update my device. if you have current software click view other version, highlight the already installed and click install. itll take 25 min. also back up your phone so no info is lost but once you plug the phone into the computer it will automatically start. if it doesnt work call tech support tell them what you have done and theyll send you a replacement.
